What you get
- Triggers — four JobTread events can start a campaign: Job created, Job completed (closed), Customer order approved (sold), and Contact created. You choose the event on each automation.
- Revenue tracking — revenue books when a customer order is approved, which is the sold moment, using the order’s price with tax. Job completion never books revenue.
- Lead delivery — when someone scans your postcard and fills in the landing page, Mailr creates an account, contact, location and job in JobTread. Email and phone go into the custom fields you mapped, “Mailr” into your mapped lead-source field, and extra answers into an internal job comment. If a field isn’t mapped, Mailr says so rather than dropping the value.
Connect JobTread

In Mailr, open Automations
Go to Campaigns → Automations in the Mailr app and find JobTread under CRM Connection. Clicking a tile only opens its panel — nothing starts connecting until you press the Connect button inside. Only the workspace owner can connect a CRM.

Create a grant key in JobTread
In JobTread, create a grant key at app.jobtread.com/grants. Mailr’s dialog carries this heads-up: “Heads up: a grant key is shown only once when you create it, and expires after ~3 months of inactivity. Once connected, our hourly sync keeps it alive automatically.” Copy the key before you close the screen.

Paste the key in Mailr
Press Connect JobTread and paste the grant key. If your key reaches more than one JobTread organization, an Organization picker appears: “This grant key can access more than one JobTread organization. Pick the one to connect.” Mailr checks the key, finds your email, phone and lead-source custom fields, and turns on instant sync before saving.

Confirm your custom fields
In the wizard’s Leads step, confirm which custom fields hold email, phone and lead source. JobTread contacts have no built-in email or phone — those live in custom fields that differ from company to company, so this is the one thing to get right.
The tile switches to Connected, and the panel prompts you to “review setup to confirm which custom fields hold email, phone, and lead source.”
How syncing works
Instant sync is automatic. Mailr sets up the live connection when you connect and removes it when you disconnect — there’s nothing to paste into JobTread. Job events and customer-order events fire instantly. Contact created is the exception: it’s checked hourly, because JobTread doesn’t send that event instantly. Mailr shows this on the automation itself as “Checked hourly (JobTread doesn’t send this event instantly).” Automated campaigns use a design you’ve already approved and are reviewed by Mailr before anything mails.The first sync starts the clock the moment you connect. Jobs and customer orders that were already approved or closed before you connected will never trigger a campaign. To test, approve a fresh customer order after connecting.
Disconnect or reconnect
Disconnecting shows a confirmation titled “Disconnect JobTread?”: “Lead sync and campaign triggers through this connection will stop, and the stored credentials are deleted. Your settings are kept, so reconnecting later picks up where you left off.” Mailr removes its own live connection inside JobTread first, then deletes the stored grant key. Your campaign history, leads and results are never deleted, and reconnecting keeps your custom-field mapping and attribution window.Notes & limits
- Grant keys expire after about three months of inactivity. An active Mailr connection keeps yours alive automatically. If a key does expire, the tile reads Needs reconnect — create a new grant key and paste it in.
- Job addresses come from each job’s location in JobTread, so that’s the address Mailr mails around.
- If you import past work to mail older customers, Mailr pulls your closed jobs, or your contacts.
- Leads Mailr delivered into JobTread never trigger campaigns of their own.
