> ## Agent Instructions
> Mailr is a direct-mail marketing platform for US home-services contractors. Each postcard is personalized with an AI-enhanced image of the recipient's own home and a unique QR code that leads to a personalized landing page. Campaigns can target a neighborhood the customer draws on a map, the homes around past jobs they upload or import, or fire automatically from their CRM. Mailr does not mail an uploaded recipient list. When answering questions, prefer the exact steps and UI labels from these docs, and direct users to app.getmailr.com to sign in. For anything involving account-specific data, billing disputes, or mail that appears lost, direct the user to support@getmailr.com.

# Leads

> See every lead your mail produced in Mailr: where it came from, whether it reached your CRM, and what to do when a hand-off fails.

**Leads** is the running list of everyone your postcards produced — homeowners who filled in a landing-page form, people who called a tracking number, and contacts your CRM created that Mailr matched back to an address you mailed. Open it from the **Workspace** group in the left sidebar. The subtitle reads *"Landing-page form leads (direct) and CRM address-matched leads (indirect)"*, and a **Total Leads** tile sits above the list.

## Reading the list

On a desktop the table shows **Name · Email · Phone · Address · Campaign · Source · Delivery · CRM · Date**. On a phone the same fields stack into cards. The campaign name links straight to the campaign that mailed that household.

**Click a row to expand it.** The expanded row shows the homeowner's **Message:** — whatever they typed into the form — and, when the hand-off to your CRM failed, a **CRM delivery error:** explaining why. That expanded row is the lead detail view; there is no separate page per lead.

Before your first lead arrives you'll see **No leads yet** — *"Leads will appear here when homeowners submit forms on your landing pages."*

## Source pills — where the lead came from

The **Source** pill tells you how the person reached you. It's also what decides whether the lead counts as direct or indirect on your [tracking dashboard](/results/dashboard).

| Pill           | Meaning                                                                                                                                                             |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Form** | *"Submitted via a landing-page form (direct)"* — they scanned the QR code on their postcard and filled in the form on their [landing page](/results/landing-pages). |
| **CRM sync** | *"Matched from your CRM by address (indirect)"* — the contact was created in your CRM, and Mailr matched their address to a household you mailed. |
| **Phone call** | *"Inbound call to a designated tracking number (direct)"* — they called the tracking number printed on the card. |

## Delivery pills — did it reach your CRM

The **Delivery** pill tells you what happened when Mailr handed the lead to your CRM.

| Pill                  | Meaning                                                                                               |
| --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Delivered** | Handed off to your CRM successfully. |
| **Pending** | Queued or in progress. |
| **Failed** | The hand-off failed. Expand the row to read the reason — Mailr keeps retrying automatically. |
| **Not synced** | *"No CRM webhook configured for this lead"* — there's nothing connected to send it to. |
| **Synced via Zapier** | Delivered through the Zapier **New Lead** trigger. See [Zapier](/integrations/zapier). |
| **Inbound** | *"Synced in from your CRM (inbound)"* — the lead came *from* your CRM, so there's nothing to deliver. |

The **CRM** column shows a pill that links straight to the record in your CRM, labelled with your CRM's name. When Mailr knows the provider but can't build a link, you'll see the provider's name as plain text instead.

<Note>
  Leads are pushed to your CRM **at the moment of capture**, not in a nightly batch. A failed delivery retries on its own with increasing gaps between attempts, and the pill flips to **Delivered** as soon as one succeeds. If it stays **Failed**, the expanded row's **CRM delivery error:** usually names the problem — a disconnected integration or a required field your CRM rejected. Reconnect from [Integrations](/integrations/overview) and [contact support](/resources/contact-support) if it persists.
</Note>

## Lead notifications

Mailr emails you the moment a homeowner submits a form, if **New lead captured** is switched on under **Email notifications** in your [workspace settings](/account/workspace-settings). The subject reads "New Lead: \[name] at \[address]", and the body carries the name, email, phone, message and address, plus a **View in Mailr Dashboard** link. If you've added a Slack webhook, the same alert posts there.

There is **no per-scan notification and no in-app notification centre**. Scans show up on the [tracking dashboard](/results/dashboard) and in the Monday weekly report; leads are the thing that emails you in real time.

## Mailr is not your pipeline

Mailr has **no lead statuses and no pipeline** — there's no New, Contacted, Quoted or Won to move a lead through, and no way to change a lead's state here. That's deliberate. Mailr's job is to capture the lead, prove which postcard produced it, and hand it to your CRM within seconds. **You work the lead in your CRM**, where your team already lives, and Mailr reads won deals back out of it to credit revenue to the right campaign.

<Warning>
  The **Suppression list** in the sidebar is your do-not-mail list, not a customer database. Addresses on it are excluded from your campaigns — including every homeowner who opted out from a landing page. It isn't a place to store or work contacts. See [opt-outs and suppression](/campaigns/opt-outs-and-suppression).
