> ## Agent Instructions
> Mailr is a direct-mail marketing platform for US home-services contractors. Each postcard is personalized with an AI-enhanced image of the recipient's own home and a unique QR code that leads to a personalized landing page. Campaigns can target a neighborhood the customer draws on a map, the homes around past jobs they upload or import, or fire automatically from their CRM. Mailr does not mail an uploaded recipient list. When answering questions, prefer the exact steps and UI labels from these docs, and direct users to app.getmailr.com to sign in. For anything involving account-specific data, billing disputes, or mail that appears lost, direct the user to support@getmailr.com.

# Glossary

> Plain-English definitions of every Mailr term — from brand kit and Home Render to credits, cooldowns, attribution, and ROAS.

Every word Mailr uses, in plain English, alphabetized. If a term shows up in the app and isn't here,
[tell us](/resources/contact-support) and we'll add it.

**AI design credits** — A separate balance from your mailing credits, used when you generate or edit
a postcard design in the design studio. The current cost of a generation or an edit is shown on
screen before you run it, and failed runs are refunded automatically. See
[edit with AI](/designs/edit-with-ai).

**Attributed revenue** — The value of deals in your connected CRM that Mailr can trace back to a
household you mailed. It's the number behind your ROAS. See [attribution](/results/attribution).

**Attribution** — Knowing which postcard produced which lead or job. Mailr does this two ways:
directly (someone scans the QR code and fills in the form, or calls a tracking number) and indirectly
(a new customer appears in your CRM at an address you mailed). See
[attribution](/results/attribution).

**Attribution window** — How long after a home is mailed a new customer at that address still counts
as a campaign result. You pick it when you set up your CRM connection: 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days.
See [integrations overview](/integrations/overview).

**Automation** — A rule that creates a mailing campaign automatically from activity in your CRM, such
as a job completed or a deal won. It mails the neighbors around that job's address, submits itself
for review, and never mails the job address itself. See [automations](/campaigns/automations).

**Brand kit** — Your logo library, brand colors, company details, industries, and showcase photos.
Every design and landing page pulls from it automatically, so you set it up once. See
[brand kit](/designs/brand-kit).

**Campaign** — One batch of postcards: who gets mailed, which design they get, and which landing page
their QR code opens. See [campaigns overview](/campaigns/overview).

**Classic postcard** — A postcard whose front is identical for every recipient — no per-home imagery.
It's still generated with your logo, colors, and contact details, and only the QR code varies per
household. See [designs overview](/designs/overview).

**Combined attribution** — Direct plus indirect results together. This is the default view on the
Tracking page and the one to use when you're asking "did the mail work?" See
[attribution](/results/attribution).

**Credit hold** — The amount set aside from your balance when you submit a campaign. A hold is not a
charge: it's released if you withdraw the campaign or if it's rejected, and it settles into a real
charge only when your cards are produced. See [credits and pricing](/billing/credits-and-pricing).

**Credits** — Your prepaid mailing balance. Each mailed postcard draws it down at your current
per-card rate, which includes printing, postage, and delivery. Credits expire 12 months after
purchase and are spent oldest-first; nothing charges automatically. See
[credits and pricing](/billing/credits-and-pricing).

**CRM connection** — The link between Mailr and your CRM. It lets campaigns fire from your jobs and
deals, pushes landing-page leads into your CRM, and matches won deals back to the homes you mailed.
See [integrations overview](/integrations/overview).

**Customer cooldown** — How recently someone can have become your customer before Mailr skips them
under the Standard audience setting. Set it in **Settings → Account**; setting it to zero means past
customers are never mailed. See [workspace settings](/account/workspace-settings).

**Default landing page** — The published landing page Mailr falls back to when a campaign doesn't
pick one. You set it with the **Default page** toggle in the landing-page studio. See
[landing pages](/results/landing-pages).

**Design** — Your own postcard — a front and a back — created from a template or uploaded as your own
artwork. A design is what you approve and mail. See [designs overview](/designs/overview).

**Direct attribution** — Results where the homeowner responded to the card itself: they scanned the QR
code and submitted the landing-page form, or called a tracking number printed on the card. See
[attribution](/results/attribution).

**Do Not Contact** — The strictest category on your suppression list. Do Not Contact addresses are
never mailed by any campaign, including one set to send to everyone. Homeowner opt-outs land here
automatically. See [opt-outs and suppression](/campaigns/opt-outs-and-suppression).

**Drop** — One mailing in a campaign. A **multi-drop series** mails the same audience several times on
a schedule — for example three drops every two weeks, up to twelve drops. Each drop shows in your
campaign list with its own status, and the whole series is charged up front when the campaign is
created. See [create a campaign](/campaigns/create-a-campaign).

**Estimated spend (Amount spent)** — The spend figure on the Tracking dashboard, calculated at a
standard per-card rate for reporting. It is an estimate, not your bill — **Billing → Transaction
History** is the authoritative record of what you were actually charged. See the
[Tracking dashboard](/results/dashboard).

**Free preview renders** — A small trial allowance for generating personalized cards before you fund
mailing credits, so you can see real output for real homes first. Each preview card uses one render,
and nothing mails. The counter disappears once you fund mail credits. See
[create a campaign](/campaigns/create-a-campaign).

**Home Render** — A postcard whose front is personalized: each recipient's card shows their own home,
re-rendered in the style you choose, with your artwork over or around it. See
[property imagery](/designs/property-imagery).

**Indirect attribution** — Results matched by address rather than by a scan: a new customer or won
deal appears in your CRM at a home you mailed, inside your attribution window. See
[attribution](/results/attribution).

**Industry vertical** — Your trade. It determines which postcard templates, render styles, and landing
pages you're offered. Set it in **Settings → Account** and in your brand kit. See
[workspace settings](/account/workspace-settings).

**Landing page** — The web page a homeowner lands on after scanning the QR code on their postcard.
It's personalized to their address and carries your branding, your reviews, and a lead form. See
[landing pages](/results/landing-pages).

**Lead** — A person who came from your mail. Mailr captures them three ways — a landing-page form
submission, a call to a tracking number, or an address match from your CRM — then hands them to your
CRM. Mailr has no lead pipeline of its own; you work leads in your CRM. See [leads](/results/leads).

**Mail cooldown** — The minimum number of days before the same address can be mailed again. The
default is 30 days, and you change it in **Settings → Account**. Your do-not-mail list is always
respected regardless. See [workspace settings](/account/workspace-settings).

**Owner, Staff, and Member** — The three access levels inside a workspace. **Owners** can do
everything, including buying credits, connecting a CRM, building automations, and changing settings.
**Staff** can create campaigns and work on designs and the brand kit. **Members** can view campaigns
and billing only. See [team and roles](/account/team-and-roles).

**QR scan** — A recorded scan of a postcard's QR code. Every card has its own code, so a scan tells
you exactly which household responded, when, and on what kind of device. See
[dashboard](/results/dashboard).

**Recipient** — One household on a campaign. Each recipient gets their own card, their own QR code,
and their own landing-page URL. See [campaigns overview](/campaigns/overview).

**Render style** — The look Mailr applies to each property's image on a Home Render card. You choose
one per campaign, and the styles available depend on your industry. See
[property imagery](/designs/property-imagery).

**ROAS** — Return on ad spend: attributed revenue divided by the amount spent, shown as a multiple
such as 3.2x. It needs a connected CRM, because the revenue side comes from your won deals. See
[attribution](/results/attribution).

**Scan rate** — The share of mailed cards that were scanned at least once — unique cards scanned
divided by cards mailed. A household that scans five times counts once here and five times under QR
scans. Mailr has no separate "response rate" metric. See [dashboard](/results/dashboard).

**Showcase images** — Photos of your past work, collected from your website or uploaded by you, that
Mailr can pull from when designing postcards and landing pages. You pick up to three per side of a
card. See [brand kit](/designs/brand-kit).

**Suppression list** — Your do-not-mail list, under **Assets → Suppression list**. It holds two
categories: **Do Not Contact** addresses, which are never mailed, and **Customer** addresses, which
are excluded by default and can be added automatically from your CRM. See
[opt-outs and suppression](/campaigns/opt-outs-and-suppression).

**Template** — A professionally built postcard layout in Mailr's catalog. You pick one as a starting
point and the studio rebuilds it in your brand; you never mail a template directly. See
[templates](/designs/templates).

**Workspace** — Your company's account in Mailr. Campaigns, designs, credits, and leads all belong to
a workspace, and everyone you invite works inside it. The app also calls it your organization. See
[set up your workspace](/getting-started/set-up-your-workspace).
