> ## Agent Instructions
> Mailr is a direct-mail marketing platform for US home-services contractors. Each postcard is personalized with an AI-enhanced image of the recipient's own home and a unique QR code that leads to a personalized landing page. Campaigns can target a neighborhood the customer draws on a map, the homes around past jobs they upload or import, or fire automatically from their CRM. Mailr does not mail an uploaded recipient list. When answering questions, prefer the exact steps and UI labels from these docs, and direct users to app.getmailr.com to sign in. For anything involving account-specific data, billing disputes, or mail that appears lost, direct the user to support@getmailr.com.

# Set up your workspace

> Create your Mailr account and company workspace, then let Mailr read your website to build your brand kit, landing pages, and reviews automatically.

Getting into Mailr takes two short steps: your personal account, then your company workspace. A
**workspace** is your company's account in Mailr — campaigns, designs, credits, and leads all belong
to it, and everyone you invite works inside it. (The app sometimes calls it an "organization"; they
mean the same thing.)

## Two ways in

Which path you take depends on whether your company is already using Mailr.

**You were invited by your company.** Follow the invitation link in your email, create your account,
and you land directly in your company's existing workspace. You never see the "Set up your
workspace" step — someone already created the workspace for you. On the sign-up page you'll see
**"Create your account."** with the note **"Sign up, then accept your organization invitation to get
started."**

**You're starting fresh.** You create your account and then set up the company workspace yourself,
becoming its **Owner**. The sign-up page reads **"Create your account."** with **"Two quick steps:
your account here, then your company — we build your brand kit from your website."**

The account form itself is the usual email and password, plus a verification code we email you.
Under it you'll see **"By creating an account you agree to Mailr's Terms of Service and Privacy
Policy."** When you come back later, sign in at [the Mailr app](https://app.getmailr.com) — the page
reads **"Welcome back."** / **"Sign in to your workspace."**

<Note>
  If your company already uses Mailr, ask them to invite you rather than creating a second
  workspace. One person belongs to one self-serve workspace: trying to create another shows **"You
  already belong to an organization. Pick it on the organization page instead."**
</Note>

## Create your workspace

You'll see the **"Set up your workspace"** screen right after creating your account, with the note
**"Tell us about your company and we'll start building your brand kit from your website while you
get set up."**

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter your Company name">
    Required, up to 80 characters — for example `Acme Roofing`. This becomes the workspace name
    shown in the workspace switcher. Leaving it blank shows **"Please enter your company name."**
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your Website">
    Required — for example `https://acmeroofing.com`. The hint explains why: *"We'll pull your logo,
    colors, and services from your site to build your brand kit automatically."* Mailr starts
    reading the site as soon as you tab out of the field, so type it carefully. Leaving it blank
    shows **"Please enter your company's website — it's how we build your brand kit."**
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a phone number (optional)">
    The field is labelled **"Phone · optional"** — for example `(555) 123-4567`. Up to 40 characters,
    and it has to look like a phone number (digits with the usual separators, plus an optional
    extension).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your CRM (optional)">
    **"Which CRM do you use? · optional"** shows a grid of tiles — click one to select it, click
    again to deselect. The hint reads *"We'll point you at the right one-click connection later —
    you can skip this."* You'll see a grid of the systems Mailr connects to — see the full list in the
    [integrations overview](/integrations/overview) —
    plus an **"Other"** tile. Picking one only decides where Mailr points you later — it doesn't
    connect anything yet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Press Create workspace">
    The button reads **"Setting up your workspace…"** while it works. You land on the **Dashboard**
    and the first-run tour opens.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  There's no country to choose — Mailr workspaces are United States only, and mail is priced in US
  dollars.
</Note>

If something goes wrong you'll see **"Something went wrong setting up your workspace. Please try
again."** or **"Network error. Please check your connection and try again."** Both are safe to
retry.

## What Mailr does for you in the background

Creating the workspace is instant, but Mailr keeps working for several minutes afterwards. You can
carry on using the app while pages fill in on their own:

1. **Mailr reads your website** and builds your **brand kit** — logo, colors, company details,
   industries, and the browser-tab title used on your landing pages. Only empty fields get filled,
   so nothing you've already entered is overwritten.
2. **Mailr collects showcase photos** from your site. This phase keeps running for minutes after the
   rest of the kit is done, and it has its own status message.
3. **Mailr looks for your Google reviews** so they can be used on your landing pages.
4. **Starter landing pages are published for you**, branded with your kit, with one set as your
   default. The campaign builder selects it automatically.

Status messages you'll see while this runs — recognizing them saves a support ticket:

  When the brand kit banner reads **"Your brand kit is ready — review the details below."**, the
  automatic setup is done. Review what Mailr found and save it.

## If Mailr can't read your website

Some sites block automated readers. If yours does, the brand kit page shows **"We couldn't read your
website — build your brand kit below."** Nothing is broken; you just fill in the gaps. Check the URL
and run the import again, upload your brand guidelines PDF instead, or enter your company details,
colors, and logo by hand. If your site had no usable images you'll see **"No usable photos on your
website — add your own."** — upload your best job photos. Instructions:
